About Componibile62

The name is driven from Julio Cortazar’s book, which is made up of 62 folders. Each of these folders represents a singular semantic element in interdependent relationship with each other. The book specificity is that whatever position folders take, they always make sense. In the same way, the association works in constant and fruitful cooperation with all parts and components. COMPONIBILE62 aims to promote, produce and participate in art, visual communication, and the organisation of cultural events, with special attention on educational, planning and productive aspects, using an international and trans-national perspective. COMPONIBILE62 is moving towards national and trans-national environment promoting multicultural cooperation. Our common view prompts us to work FROM, FOR and IN Naples, like “antennas” can pick up signals from outside, and build a dynamic partners’ network. Artistic, design, scientific and journalistic skills of members, alongside their “geographical dispersion”, are propulsive forces for the variety, differentiation and realization of projects. "Perdersi" (Getting Lost) is an attempt of engaging a reading methodology of the key points between the urban and the rural, but also, and above all, between smooth space (represented by the social and relational) and striated space (the indistinct nature) following Deleuze's categories, and then, paradoxically, against all dualism - that San Cipriano, with its own statute of "membrane", could certainly represent, stretched beyond. The audiovisual medium will become, during the period of residence and all the preliminary stages of narrative, a praxis rather than a mode of representation of the possible stories on the territory, assuming an attitude of openness, listening and restitution to the community, within an attitude of proud nomadism. The critical nature of many experiences of residence lays, at least in our opinion, in the fact that very often there is no active collaboration of the territory and that artists do not make in a position to be welcomed by the host community, or, even worse, a common flaw lies in an alleged engagement which include an attitude of "ethnocentrism" . In this case host communities are seen as a mere "object of study" or distant subjects in terms of cultural sensitivity. The artists, on this occasion, in addition to "getting lost", will be invited to "lose" something of themselves, to the benefit of the establishment of a collective process, within the artistic community and the host community. During the residency there will be moments dedicated to the knowledge and investigation of the territory in an informal way, as well as moments of "openness" and penetration into the local community through working groups, gatherings and public debates, duly publicized in order to include the largest possible number of participants. During the week of residency artists will be invited to produce works or projects in line with what emerged during the stay in San Cipriano.
